ONETOUCH Horizon Blood Glucose Monitoring System

A fast and simple way to help ensure that patients achieve their treatment goals

How ONETOUCH HORIZON Technology Works

1. Blood Application
Image showing blood being applied to the end of the strip When blood is applied to the end of the strip, capillary action pulls the sample into a reaction cell, Only 1.5µl of blood is required.
Image showing the FASTDRAW Design drawing a blood sample by capillary action FASTDRAW design quickly draws in a blood sample by capillary action.

2. Glucose Oxidase Reaction
Image showing an enzyme (Glucose Oxidase) reacting with glucose in the blood, producing a small electrical current In the reaction cell, an enzyme (glucose oxidase) reacts with glucose in the blood, producing a small electrical current.

3. Measurement
Image showing the amount of current measured by the meter is proportional to the glucose concentration in the sample.

5 - second test time

The amount of current measured by the meter is proportional to the glucose concentration in the sample.
