Dry skin

When blood glucose levels are high, your body loses fluid, and dehydration results in dryness of the skin. When the skin is dry, it can crack and become vulnerable to skin infections. Also, if you have diabetes, poor circulation and decreased skin sensation from nerve problems make it difficult to notice dry skin.

Regular monitoring can help you spot patterns to try to avoid high and low blood glucose, reduce complications of diabetes, and help control your diabetes.
